A PLATFORM FOR ALL PROGRESSIVES
IAPA is an inclusive organization and welcomes Americans of all backgrounds who are committed to progressive policies that aim to provide living-wage jobs, access to affordable health and preventive care, compassionate and comprehensive immigration reform, fair trade, and debt-free college. We also believe that both climate policies and foreign policies must be fair. Foreign policies also impact all lives directly or indirectly.
IAPA is committed to support progressive ideals in American society and in particular American politics at all levels including local, state, and federal. IAPA advocates for policies that empower citizens, voting rights for all and abolish “Citizens United”.
IAPA believes politics is a noble service when it is practiced furthering the good of the people and the community without any prejudice. We chose not to be on the sidelines but engage the community and the policy makers for positive change in society. Objectives
- Invite and engage with political activists and candidates who are in office, seeking an office or aspiring politicians.
- Encourage and support progressive politicians to achieve their goals.
- Be a credible resource on the issues that IAPA is committed to.
- Advocate for progressive policies with all politicians.
- Build organizational capacity to amplify issues IAPA is passionate about.
- Organize public events and forums to connect policymakers and citizens to each other.
- Build alliances with individuals and organizations that complement and further IAPA objectives.

IAPA connects and builds relationships with politicians at all levels particularly politicians who are just entering the political space. The idea is to support and educate current and future politicians about our values and priorities and prevent them from becoming our opponents
